   • Consider crafting a blog to chronicle your progress on a Girl Scout Gold Award, developing an informative website for an organization you volunteer at or sharing more about a passion or hobby you have like music, art, or sports.  
2. Be the host with the most
   • Find out where your site will live by researching the pros and cons of free online website-building services, getting opinions from bloggers or webmasters with similar sites, or teaching yourself to build a website from scratch. 
3. Build a blueprint
   • Map out how your website will be organized and navigated by finding a mentor, working with a group, or taking a class. Do all three when you join our Girl Scouts Virtual Web Development Code Club!
4. Create must-see content
   • Build a solid readership by planning blog posts in advance, writing an attention-grabbing lead story, or sharing a compelling photo gallery.  
5. Go live—then drive!
   • Learn how to drive new traffic to your website by spreading the word with your social network or linking up with sites similar to yours.

When you've earned this badge, you'll know how to design, build, and promote your own website.
